Unfortunately, this is also the time of year when con artists spring up to con people out of their money. There has already been a warning to people renting out properties during the festival to make sure that they only secure bookings with reputable agents.
The best way to ensure that the company is reputable is by checking whether they are accredited with any of the letting standards such as Landlord Accreditation Scotland or Scottish Association of Landlords.

The Benefits of Renting
'Generation Rent' has often been portrayed in the press as a negative issue, however there are a number of positives to renting.
